Seoul Science High School (SSHS) was founded in 1989 to provide a special curriculum oriented to mathematics and science. Since then, our school has taken a leading role in the field of mathematics and science education in Korea. In 2009 our school was officially designated as a school for the gifted education. With this designation, our school has complete autonomy to design an advanced curriculum to meet the special needs of gifted students. The level of academic achievement of our students is of the highest level in Korea as they have been through an extremely rigorous 3-step nationwide selection process. With these gifted students, excellent teachers, well-equipped facilities, and highly advanced curriculum, SSHS is preparing for a giant leap into the future.
