The purpose of SET Connections is to promote and support the use of technology for special education, particularly instructional technologies. Our goals are to:Encourage, promote and teach about the use of technology and its benefits to the special education classroom.Serve as an expert resource in connecting special education and technology by providing information, resources and professional development opportunities. Provide opportunities for educators to create, use, and promote networking through online personal learning networks and in-person opportunities.To promote the use of differentiated instruction, addressing students' individual learning requirements. Stay informed about and report on legislation affecting special education and technology.Facilitate dialogue and working relationships between special education educators and technology staff to promote the use of technology for special education.Develop relationships with universities and other organizations that may be helpful in promoting the use of technology for special education.
