Seva Charities is a student-run, 501c3 non-profit benefiting Akshaya Patra, and the largest South Asian organization on campus!Seva is partnered with Akshaya Patra, India's largest NGO, who provides mid-day meals to underprivileged children in India so that they can spend more time working to attain a quality education. Seva supports the effort of Akshaya Patra by hosting a multitude of events and fundraisers throughout the year. Connect with us to find out how you can volunteer! In the past members have worked to help clean local parks and assist nearby animal shelters.Global - Our global pillar is driven by our work with Akshaya Patra. We raise money to provide meals to children across the world so they that can focus on school and worry about working towards their dreams instead of working for their next meal. Local - Seva holds large-scale events and fundraisers throughout the year such as our annual banquet, petting zoo's and bake sales that are open to the entire University of Austin at Texas community.
