Sh Ram Nath Kapoor a great philanthropist laid the foundation of Sewa Devi S.D College of Education Sarhali Road Tarn Taran on October 14th 2000 a premier co-educational institute which caters to the needs of students who earlier had to go to other places to pursue higher education in different streams. At present Mr. Vinod Khanna is the President of the College. A small sapling planted by Sh. Ram Nath Kapoor in the year 2000 has taken the form of a big banyan tree within a brief span of just seven years where students are getting higher education. The infrastructure of the College caters well to the modern demands and technique of education. The ground floor of the College consists of a beautiful well-stcked Library Computer Laboratory General Office Management Room etc. There are ten spacious class rooms on the first floor where the classes are held.To fulfill the dream of Lt. Sh. Ram Nath Kapoor and following the ideals set by him the Sanatan Dharam Management Charitable Trust has expanded the Sewa Devi S.D Institution. It has new various branches. To this huge tree: Sewa Devi S.D College Sewa Devi S.D I.T.I and Sewa Devi S.D College of Education serve as strong branches.
