The Society for Global Business & Economic Development is initiated by the Center for International Business (CIB), Montclair State University in collaboration with the University of International Business and Economics (UIBE), Beijing, Curtin University School of Management, Comenius Faculty of Management (Bratislava), Indian Institute of Management Bangalore, EADA Business School (Barcelona) and others. The organization is led by a Board of Governors, chaired by Emeritus Professor Dr. Samir Chatterjee and regional coordinators. The SGBED objectives are:- Promote international education, research and scholarship by organizing international business conferences and periodic research symposium that focus on global business & development issues- Facilitate publications of peer reviewed conference proceedings, special issues of peer reviewed journals, and books of readings- Facilitate networking opportunities for faculty and promote collaborative research and publications- Organize professional seminars and workshops in collaboration with partner institutions on business topics and issues pertaining to emerging markets and developing countries
