S.H.A.D.E.s is the Sustainable Solutions to Harness Action/Advocacy/Acceptance/Affirmation in Diversity & Equity. With the recent encouraging loud outcry for more diversity, equity and inclusion in the construction industry, a group of professionals of different "shades" from leading construction companies and agencies across the US came together to share the collective experiences in the corporate word to skin tones, and along with their passion and commitment make an impactful change. In building awareness around the unique challenges that different "shades" of people face in the construction industry, SHADEs strives to help inform the development and implementation of strategies and solutions that addresses equity imbalance, help create inclusive workplaces where everyone can belong, contribute, and thrive, and hence facilitate true diversity, equity, and inclusion.
