Appointed by the Federal District Court, the District Compliance Administrator has several duties as described in the Court's Supplemental Relief Order of January 14, 2009. Primarily the DCA adjudicates claims filed by employees who feel that political considerations were involved in the employee's hiring, promotion, transfer, assignment of overtime or discharge by the Cook County Forest Preserve District. Using a small group of sub-contractors, the DCA is also given the duty to study the personnel policies and hiring practices of the district and to promote a new hiring plan.
