The Shanghai Pacific Energy Center (SPEC) is a Green Building high-tech consulting unit founded in 2001 by the Tongji University and the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. SPEC is a member of the USGBC and the Shanghai Green Building Council. SPEC, supported by the Lawrence Berkeley National Lab. and the Tongji Univ., aims at promoting the progress of energy technology to achieve the social and economic sustainable development by studying and providing consultation of energy and green building. Since 2001, SPEC has been energy saving consultant for over 30 projects.
