At the outset, it needs a mention that we are the torch bearers belonging to a family wedded to a profession of traditional ayurvedic physicians of repute and achievements, hailing from the family dedicated to the cause of ayurveda. We have taken up the profession in the true sense of the term of our great grandfather Dr.Y.Lakshmi Narasimha Sastry who was instrumental to the founding of a separate college for ayurvedic system of medicine. He was the principal of the Govt Ayurvedic Medical College, Mysore. He has been honoured as one of the luminaries of ayurveda and even finds his name in such texts (Luminaries of Indian Medicine and others).S.N.Sharma also took up practice in ayurvedic medicine under the able guidance and training imparted by their uncle Y.Lakshmi Narasimha Sastry. Pandit S.N.Sharma has to his credit, as one of the leading practitioners who had effectively treated with success, many of the dreaded diseases. Such results could only be attributed to the traditional procedures followed and medicines prepared and administered personally by Shri Sharmaji. In order to continue the service so rendered by the family of Pandit S.N.Sharma. his two granddaughters Dr.L.Veenapani and Dr.L.Manormani have taken up the profession to promote health and heal the ailing.
