She Will Rise began in January 2017, when a group of like-minded women gathered together to discuss concerns about women's representation in government and the broader structural inequalities facing women, particularly for women of color and the LBGTQI community. Together, we are working to build a pipeline of female leadership and will inspire young women to engage with their local government and community. Our mission is to advocate, support, and mobilize young New York women to dismantle gender-based discrimination and inequality.
