Sheffield Rape and Sexual Abuse Centre (SRASAC) works to support recovery from the emotional and psychological distress caused by trauma from rape, sexual violence or sexual abuse/exploitation whenever it happened in a persons' life.We believe that every individual who is part of the SRASAC community – that is all clients, trustees, volunteers and staff- should be treated with dignity and respect and be part of a service that is free from barriers. We want to challenge all forms of oppression including those based on race, ethnicity, nationality, creed, gender, sex, class, sexuality, gender reassignment, learning ability, physical impairment, mental illness, HIV status, age, occupation, income and wealth. We are an inclusive service.We are a specialist sexual violence support service. What we offer for people who live within the Sheffield:- Information and Support Line- Specialist counselling for survivors aged 13 or above.- Groupwork- Support through the criminal justice system from reporting incidents to the police through the investigations and to trial, via our Independent Sexual Violence Advisor (ISVA) service for everyone - children, young people and adults (no age limits to this service).
