Education is one of the essential fundamental rights for every citizen of Bangladesh & Technical education is the crying need to build a nation effectively especially for us developing country. The Economy of Bangladesh largely depends on RMG sector and around 88% of our export earnings comes solely from RMG & Textile sector.As a part of vision 2021, The government of Bangladesh has a plan to upgrade its economic status from developing to developed one. To achieve this status there is no alternative of ensuring technical education nationwide. For this reason, department of textiles under ministry of jute and textiles has started establishing technical textile institutions like textile engineering colleges, textile institutes & textile vocational institutions in different parts of the country. There is plan to establish textile vocational institutes in every district of the country to facilitate textile education among the students from all over the country.Sheikh kamal textile engineering college, jhenaidah started its journey from the year 2016 and it is successfully running its all the activities both in academic side and in extra curricular side. Currently this college is providing 4 years long degree in B.Sc. in textile engineering majoring in below areas:B.Sc.in Wet Process Engineering.B.Sc. in Apparel EngineeringB.Sc. in Yarn EngineeringB.Sc. in Fabric EngineeringThis institution has the capacity to enroll 120 students (both male & female) having 30 students in each of the four departments every year. It has one boys' hostel, one girls' hostel, academic building, administrative building, mosque, sports field, dormitory, officers' quarter and so many beautiful infrastructures for ensuring quality textile education.This college has very rich faculty and well-designed lab equipped with modern machinery. This campus has everything to provide quality education in textiles.
