She's4Sports is an online and events platform that gives women a larger voice in sports. The Toronto-based network represents a community of 3000 and growing passionate women and men who want to amplify and celebrate the contributions of women in sports. Founder Ainka Jess launched the network after having conversations about sports with female colleagues. She found that some women who liked sports felt intimidated to talk about sports with their male peers or were intentionally left out of these conversations. These women also noted that traditional sports news platforms didn't tell the stories of women in sports who looked like them. Ainka decided to do something about it and built a platform for women to tell their stories and be heard. She is also collaborating with other women in the sports industry to empower women and change the narrative around sports and female participation.
