Shield Finders is a fin-tech and social investment firm providing financial services without walls to businesses, individuals, rural communities and the un-banked.We leverage on technology and digital mediums (through web portal, mobile app, USSD codes, etc.) to provide tailored loan, savings, investment portfolio, bill payments etc. without all the formal or traditional barriers that prevents them from accessing those services in the formal commercial banks.We believe access to credit and quality financial services is a sustainable way to eradicate poverty and unemployment from Africa.Our mission is to empower all (most especially businesses, individuals, rural communities and the un-banked) with the financial access they need to pursue a life of dignity, prosperity and fulfillment.In Nigeria, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, MSMEs contributes about N38.8 trillion (48.47%) to the nation's Gross Domestic Product, GDP. Their contribution to the transmission of agricultural led economy to industrial ones cannot be overemphasized. It helps in the absorption of productive resources at all levels of the economy and contributes to the building of flexible economic system in which small and large firms are interlinked. Despite this, less than 7% of the over 37 million SMEs in Nigeria have access to loan and needed financial services due to the bottleneck formalities.Furthermore, people living on less than US$2.50 a day urgently need reliable financial services. They need to be able to safely save, borrow, make payments and use insurance. But globally, over two billion people have no access to such services. We develop solutions to meet the needs of very poor people, with special attention to including women.Our solutions help people build their vision, businesses, assets, weather crisis and manage risk.
