Shifting Plates Record Fair is a festive event dedicated to DJs and record collectors. The fair hosts more than 40 record vendors featuring the leading record stores together with known private dealers. Hosted twice a year at the spacious Classic Cars West in Oakland, this centrally located event space features a rotating art gallery and sunny beer garden. A mere 10-minute walk from 19th St., BART station, its location in Uptown Oakland makes for the perfect gathering point for Bay Area music lovers and industry heads. Shifting Plates aims to give back to Fault Radio's listeners and supporters who, like us, want to see grassroots music culture and community within the Bay Area. We are booking all local DJs to represent the best of the Bay Area's music scenes. Our goal is to provide a sublime record collecting experience and we wish to expand to other territories within the pacific north-west by hosting similar fairs in big cities on the west coasts.
