Shiksha Alok is a registered, ‘not- for-profit', non-governmental organization founded by people with dreams of empowering women & ushering diverse livelihoods within the rural communities of Himalayas – where women are the breadwinners & homemakers but are forced to marry early, while the men folk are forced to migrate to the plains in search of jobs to supplement family incomes, thus disintegrating families. We at Shiksha Alok believe that educating women is the most powerful way to address societal limitations. Shiksha Alok endeavors to build capacities in the fields of information technology & life skills with the objective of generating industry & employment within ‘vulnerable rural communities'.
