A Shire House client is someone who might need an academically supported living environment as they attend college or university, someone who needs a supported independent living environment as they search for employment or are newly employed, someone who might need guidance and instruction in self-regulating their emotions, behaviors, anxiety, depression, or social skills before or as they work or go to school, someone who needs support transitioning out of their parents home and into their own independent living setting. Our residential program is run out of a large house with a co-ed college dorm setting that can accommodate six clients at a time.Since 2012 our Mission has been to create a community with friendships and supports as our young adults begin their journey into independent living and friendships and support that will continue to be available to them long into their adult lives.
