Shmeet is a college based social app where content is based on people and places, rather than just the individual. Content forms from the compilation of user experiences currently happening at the bars downtown, campus tailgate, house party, or student created event. Shmeet is all about REAL-TIME. The app notifies you when groups of friends are going or check-into bars and parties. The app uses iOS region monitoring technology to allow check-in to occur AUTOMATICALLY even if the app is shutdown with your phone in your pocket. Each place in Shmeet turns into its own "Snapchat" style story. When users check-in, the camera unlocks. Capturing a picture or video takes fewer clicks than Snapchat. Uploads are completely anonymous because we want users to provide an unfiltered view of their college social scene.
