Shoppa's aim is to give Customers more information on their purchase transactions through Machine Learning. As a Data Science business, we have used Machine Learning to build the Shoppa App that takes data from Open banking and other sources to help Consumers manage online shopping transactions and develop the Shoppa Solutions business to license the data and technology we have built from the technology. The Shoppa App removes the consumer's need to use Email, Returns portals or Banking Apps to understand and manage their online purchases. The application is one of the first in the world to use Machine Learning executed on a Smartphone, making the data completely secure and private. The next phase will provide more value to the customer, allowing them to ‘list' non-returnable items on eBay, press a button to ‘Buy again' goods and will develop the technology for a returns collection service, in conjunction with UK taxis.Using the technology we have built for the Shoppa App, the Shoppa Solutions business will sell the ‘opted-in' data for Insight Reporting and license the Machine Learning technology to Financial Services, for Transactional Data Enrichment to securely contextualize transactions in banking Apps.Shoppa is part of the Scottish Enterprise High Growth Ventures program, the RBS Fintech Accelerator and has advisors from Citigroup and Marks and Spencer on its steering committee. The business is currently investigating a Patent for the Machine Learning in Europe and the US.
