Short Ends Collective is an online publication based in Montréal and founded in 2021 by a group of individuals who are dedicated to sharing their passion for film. We are an active and enthusiastic platform that wishes to provide a space where every aspect of cinema can be discussed, explored, and challenged. We are concerned with creating critical and personal material that showcases thorough research and analytical, interpretative thinking without ascribing to academic structures. With a focus on films and/or topics that may fly under the mainstream radar, we hope to give a spotlight to a cinema that yearns to be seen and heard. Our bi-monthly publications cover a general theme or concept that branches out to and through a myriad of films and filmmakers, featuring critical and analytical essays as well as interviews.
