In 2014, Showa Aircraft Industry Co., Ltd established its subsidiary division in the Clark Freeport Zone, Philippines, Showa Aircraft Industry Philippines, Inc., as a modern manufacturing site for the company to fabricate honeycomb sandwich panels for aircraft flooring and interior applications. The facility is equipped with Hot Platen Press – high capacity multi opening state of the art press, Panel Trim Saw, Freezer – high volume freezer capacity for prepregs and adhesives, Drying Oven for composite core, Universal Testing Machine – with full capabilities for the most rigorous testing requirements including elevated temperature testing, Flammability Chamber – with capabilities for vertical and horizontal testing at 40 and 60 degrees and Temperature & Humidity Chamber – temperature -40~80°C/Max. 100% RH humidity/400mm x 400mm x 800mmH. The Philippine factory has the capacity to produce 30,000 panels annually.
