Showcase Sports Syndicate is the first semi-pro sports league that redefines inclusion. We're building a global network of athletes with and without developmental disabilities while creating the ultimate fan & player experience.The showcase program provides a platform for athletes with and without developmental disabilities come together as one team in genuine semi-pro level competition.The main objective here is to create a network of participants and spectators through new leagues in multiple cities that will be the foundation of the future of the Showcase Platform. Through the Showcase Showdown Series occurring in multiple cities the goal is to end June 2020 with over 1000 participants.Showcase started as an idea based around wanting to do something special with, and for, people with developmental disabilities. The idea was always about expanding expectations, challenging status quo, and celebrating achievement. Showcase was to be a beacon of light in a world that for many that we know and see on a regular basis, had few, if any, bright spots. We wanted Showcase to be a platform upon which athletes with disabilities felt empowered and supported in standing tall; that the rest of the world would see for what they could do, not what they couldn't. That vision would take 8 years, and an epiphany, to be realized. As we began to develop the structure of the "Showcase brand" of sport, beginning with basketball and flag football, we realized that doing something special with had a different feeling than doing something special for. Realizing the possibilities of a game, a team, a league, and ultimately a network of leagues that feature athletes with AND without disabilities, Showcase Sports Syndicate was born, with the mission to define and execute inclusion in sports.
