Dubai-based fashion designer who established his Namesake brand in 2009; Shrekahnth is a Fashion Design Graduate who has transcended in recreating modern designs into contemporary elegance. His brand ethos originates from a heady mix of traditional elements and a strong western influence, to give a very contemporary expression of global appeal. The brand is now edging towards rebranding; it is slowly moving towards sustainable fashion. Shrekahnth is now focussing on natural, organic and ethically made fashion; an environmentally responsible brand with its own signature. In moving towards this approach, Shrekahnth will adopt a modern and contemporary technique and develop avant-garde technologies and sustainable innovation with the aim of transforming fashion for global woman. He plans on using technology, for instance with recyclable materials for surface ornamentation and yarn development. His new vision seeks to explore environmental sustainability in fashion; to explore the creative and complicated world of fashion. He aims to promote a pluralistic approach to fashion; to showcase the various strategies to ameliorate negative effects on the environment that goes beyond the conventional methods of protecting the environment. With this vision in mind, Shrekahnth anticipates in taking part in and cultivating a shift towards the imperishable use of the environment; being an advocate for social change.
