Shri Rawatpura Sarkar University was founded in 2018 by Shri Rawatpura Sarkar Lok Kalyan Trust, Established Under section 2(f) of UGC Act 1956 & Approved by Chhattisgarh Private University Act,2005, "to promote the public welfare by exercising an influence in behalf of humanity and civilization."His Holiness Shri Ravi Shankar Ji Maharaj decided to build a university as the most fitting memorial. The university campus is located in Raipur, capital of Chhattiagrh. The SRU made their plans just as the modern research university was taking form.
