Nonprofit Organization Management - Lagos, Lagos, Nigeria
Shun Unemployment Foundation is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) registered by the Corporate Affair Commissions and is aimed at driving youth creativity, innovation and enterprise through the means of institutionalized engagements in tertiary institutions and support programs for graduates, artisans and the less privileged of the society across Nigeria in particular and Africa in general. This foundation aims at reducing youth unemployment in Nigeria & Africa by creating an empowerment platform, through a model consisting of three integrated ideas: TRAIN, EMPOWER, and NURTURE (TEN). This is in recognition of the widely accepted fact that Africa Youth is gifted, talented and endowed with creativity but with little or no effort to enhance them. Graduates, undergraduates, and artisans can, through the instrumentality of this platform be encouraged to start off on their own with or without seeking white-collar employment. The discovery and support of the passionate and the talented Youth Entrepreneur can birth brilliant ideas into profitable and sustainable businesses, which will, in turn, create jobs as well as other entrepreneurs. In this process, the Shun Unemployment Project can greatly, reduce poverty, unemployment, crime, and boost the economy through the much-needed diversification and more importantly, bring forth Global Business Leaders.
