Sickhouse is a research space using popular culture as a base of reflection, with a Cinema (Cinema Obscura), an exhibition space, a room for VR experiences, a -collaborate- workspace, the Sickhouse Bar and our open living room office. From our own recording studio we stream games, performances and talks to your living room!Gaming and films are the tools we manipulate to question the development of our society and its digitization. Sickhouse presents and co-produces crossover projects combining art, gaming, pop culture, science, music and philosophy.At Sickhouse, we believe that playing is a social tool and a means to understand each other, develop empathy and transform the way we shape our society. Sickhouse wants to create time and space for playfulness in art and in our society.Sickhouse is also the organizer of The Overkill Festival, a 48 hour nonstop festival where we transform a broad space into an art exhibition with a selection of indie games, an alternative movie program, live performances and many activities such as workshops, master classes and talks, all selected around our yearly theme.
