Mental Health Care - Olympic Valley, California, United States
Sierra Agape Center for Soul-Tending is a non-denominational organization that provides therapy, meditation training, yoga and yoga-therapy and consultation services on a donation basis in the Buddhist paramita or tradition of Dāna (pronounced dah-nah), which means to cultivate generosity. The purpose is to continually create accessible opportunities and services in response to the needs of our communities in a way that does not always define the problems of life as mental illness, but considers each person in a holistic way. MISSION "Building individual empowerment, resiliency, and self-determination through respect, joy, humor, and honesty, with reverence for our differences and gratitude for our similarities to one another." VISION Sierra Agape Center's approach to problems with life and relationships includes exploring all domains of a person's spiritual and physical life and then working with clients to enliven the body, soul and spirit through non-traditional means. These include meditation, yoga, yoga-therapy, food as medicine, types of relationships people choose, spiritual practices, creative expression, attunement to life purpose or work life and relationship with the body.
