A general contracting construction company specializing in building commercial and multi-unit residential projects in the Lake Tahoe / Truckee region.SierraCon was established by Joe Stewart in 2016, who has worked in large commercial construction and resided in South Lake Tahoe since 1996. Joe Stewart worked for and was a partner in SMC Contracting from September of 2003 through January of 2017 where he was directly responsible for executing over $400 million in successful construction projects primarily in the Tahoe / Truckee region. Now Mr. Stewart has expanded the SierraCon team to include some extremely capable and driven individuals to join him. The SierraCon team includes Project Manager Josh Merkow who previously worked for SMC for over a decade running projects in Northstar and South Lake Tahoe leading such landmark projects as The Edgewood Lodge. He is also accompanied by Juan Cruz as a Superintendent. Mr. Cruz has over 20 years of experience in the field as a competent qualified leader on both commercial and residential projects. In addition, Zaq Rosenbloom recently relocated back to Lake Tahoe from Kauai where he spent the last 10 years project managing various projects ranging from ultra high end residential to commercial. And most recently SierraCon has brought on Pat Walker as Superintendent. Mr. Walker has worked in the Tahoe basin for over 30 years with vast knowledge of all aspects of construction.
