Executive Office - Syracuse, New York, United States
The New York Alpha chapter of Sigma Phi Epsilon was founded on December 21st, 1905 at Syracuse University. 310 Walnut Ave, known as the Slutsker House, was NYA's first house at Syracuse. It was in this house in 1928 that the tradition of the Red Doors originated. The Red Doors, which have been adopted by every SigEp house, symbolize the brotherhood of SigEp that transcends each individual chapter, meaning every SigEp is welcome at every chapter house across the nation. After temporarily moving to 336 Comstock Ave, SigEp constructed its current house at 721 Comstock Ave in 1984.
