Sikat Solar Challenge Foundation, Inc. (SSCFI or Sikat) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to uplift the lives of Filipinos living in unelectrified rural communities by working through various organizations and helping them deliver innovative and sustainable renewable energy (RE) systems.Some of the 2019 Major accomplishments:In 2019, SIKAT supported Keep Hope Alive an NGO that set up a solar-powered health center to serve an indigenous community in the mountains of Mindoro. The Center's solar system center was the only power source for almost two weeks during the blackout caused by typhoon Tisoy. By linking local women weavers in the same community to buyers in Manila via the internet, SIKAT was also able to boost their income by six times.Vision: A Philippines where all off-grid communities are enabled and sustained by renewable energy. Mission: To uplift lives innovatively through renewable energy.
