Silhouette is the award-winning literary and art magazine of EMCVT, an independent company associated with Virginia Tech. The magazine is completely student-run. Student staff come from all backgrounds and majors. Released in print once per semester, Silhouette provides a forum for creative work by the undergraduate and graduate students at Virginia Tech including – but not limited to – poetry, prose, artwork and photography.Silhouette devotes itself to promoting the arts in and around the Virginia Tech community. Through Open Mic Benefits, concerts and other events, Silhouette provides a place for Virginia Tech students and community members to express themselves through the arts.Silhouette is also devoted to providing Virginia Tech students with real-world experience in all aspects of magazine development, design, and production.
