Construction - San Jose, California, United States
Silicon Valley Construction was founded in May 1988 by Tom Szoboszlay, and he remained President and CEO throughout the 26 years they remained in business. SVC serviced the South Bay areas of California and performed mostly High-Tech Commercial and Industrial projects. They fast-tracked all of their projects, mostly on a design-build basis, which created a lot of satisfied clients.Typical Commercial projects involved Offices, Computer labs, Server Rooms, Call Centers, Data Centers, Electronic Labs, Chemical Labs, Factories, Life Sciences, and Pharmaceutical projects. SVC also did some select work for Very High-end residential clients. SVC provided high quality workmanship using high quality materials. They always matched the new work to the existing, and they kept project areas clean and safe. SVC effectively managed all of their projects through their Project Managers and Field Foremen. SVC utilized subcontractors for all the specialty trades. These subcontractors were often times a mix of union and non-union workers. SVC also had their own qualified team of carpenters and laborers. Tom Szoboszlay owed a small commercial building located in San Jose, California, which housed SVC's offices and warehouse for their inventory, work vehicles, tools and equipment. SVC's management team always strived to provide the best work at a fair price to their customers. That resulted in a large percentage of repeat and referral business due to happy clients pleased with their quality and service. Many clients came back to SVC for their very next project.SVC never had any complaints against their license, and no liens or judgments ever filed against the company. That is a remarkable record, considering over 2,000 projects were completed. They ceased doing business in May 2014, when Tom chose to shut-down the business, and moved his family to the Dallas area.
