In late 2011, the school our children attend decided to host a Dinner & a Movie night. I volunteered to steer the committee for this event. As the committee researched the options for this event, it was discovered that there was no affordable vendor offering movie screen rental service for events like ours. The cost to host the event basically negated our fundraising efforts. The event was very successful with approximately 200 people enjoying the night. Our school Parent Teacher Fellowship determined that this should become a recurring event.With much prayer and consideration and support & guidance from dear friends & family, Silver Screen Outdoor Events was launched in the fall of 2011. We believe God gave us this business opportunity as a ministry to help meet the needs primarily of churches and schools in our local area (Knox, Sevier and Blount county) and the surrounding counties.We service all types of groups including, but not limited to, churches, schools, civic groups, businesses, individuals, teams, etc. We offer inflatable movie screens for all occasions such as pool parties, retreats, birthday parties, anniversary parties, block parties, school events, youth group events, etc. Events can be held in gymnasiums, poolside, back yards, parking lots, athletic fields, cu-de-sacs, etc. Silver Screen Outdoor Events can project DVDs, slide shows, televised events & video game tournaments (licensing and broadcasting rights may apply).
