Simba Motors has been the representative of TATA Motors since 1987 and introduced the TATA vehicles in Tanzania selling over 7000 units over 20 years. In 2007 TATA, due to its own regional strategy, bought out the rights to the franchise. In 2009, Simba Motors was restructured to become Logistics, Aviation and Project Development Company operating in Tanzania.The company works and partners with Ashok Leyland Defence, Renault Defence, Bombardier Commercial Planes, and Airbus Helicopters. Over the last three years, Simba Motors has developed a number of projects to supply vehicles, aircrafts and other equipment for defence and logistics requirements of different governments in the region.
