Feature writer, reviewer, copy writer and editor, specialising in writing about music, comedy and the creative industries, with a particular focus on the West Midlands. I have had work published by the Birmingham Post, 4Talent magazine, 4Talent Central England, Bearded, Arena and the BBC. Previous projects include being the author/compiler of Music Matters - A Regional Profile, a booklet commissioned and published by Digital Central, examining the state of the West Midlands music industry. Other credits include projects for Channel 4 and Maverick TV. I am also the editor of Who's Laughing Now?, a blog which covers the West Midlands' comedy scene. I have previously acted as site editor for the award-winning social networking website gardenersclick.com. I recently completed an MA in Media Enterprise at Birmingham City University, with a focus on the impact of the internet on entrepreneurship in the comedy industry. Current research interests include the relationship between the creative industries and new/digital media.
