Simone Says Dance is an after-school and summer program designed to inspire youth through the development of their motor skills and the ability to bring stories to life with physical movement. We are dedicated to honing talent, provide every student with a solid dance foundation, and help students to reach their maximum personal strength and potential.Our trained instructors are experts in their craft; they have mastered their skills in dance education and pedagogy. These include a plethora of dance forms but are not limited to Ballet, Jazz, Modern, Contemporary, Hip-Hop and Acrobatics to various age groups. All SSD instructors demonstrate a healthy lifestyle and serve as a Mentor and Role Model to all students. The SSD mission and vision is to instill the core values of discipline, hard work, and perseverance that Dance requires. These principles will reflect not only on the dance floor but also in their everyday life. We believe that children should begin to train from a young age in order to develop artistic skills for better performance in the future. This program paves the foundation of various dance genres. Throughout the duration of lessons, students will be taught the fundamentals of Ballet, Jazz, Hip-Hop, and Acrobatics. Ballet is the core of dance culture; it's a form of classic academic dancing based on the accepted five positions of the feet, using a strict vocabulary of movement. The SSD program will stress the importance of proper technique, etiquette, clear expectations of behavior and attire. Students will be monitored and assessed at the completion of the program; they will receive achievement awards and certificates based on performance.
