The Singapore Association for Laboratory Animal Science (SALAS) is a non-profit organization that was established in 2004 as a premier association for the education and development of various professionals in the field of laboratory animal science. SALAS collaborates with several academic and industry partners, as well as regional and international laboratory associations, to organise training courses, meetings, discussions and conferences to keep our members updated on the recent developments in the field of laboratory animal science.Our Aims:To promote and advance the responsible care and use of laboratory animals in compliance with the NACLAR Guidelines (National Advisory Committee for Laboratory Animal Research) and AVA Regulations (Agri-food Veterinary Authority).To support the biomedical science industry in Singapore by providing professionals with the necessary education and practical training.To serve as a forum and interface for the exchange of information, expertise and services among institutions involved in laboratory animal science and vendors of specialist equipment and services.
