Executive Office - Singapore, , Singapore
About the Singapore Bicentennial OfficeUnder the Prime Minister's Office, the Singapore Bicentennial Office is committed to coordinating a nationwide commemoration that incorporates partner agencies and various community groups in programmes that contribute to a shared reflection and appreciation of Singapore's longer history. We are guided by an Advisory Panel comprising historians, archaeologists and community leaders, and supported by a diverse group of volunteers in this ground-up initiative. Beyond events, the office collaborates with many longstanding religious and educational institutions, associations and clans, as well as businesses and individuals, to provide research and resource support as they make plans to release a range of diverse projects and products, generating interest and reflection on our rich cultural heritage.About the LogoThe Singapore Bicentennial logo comprises seven poly-shapes, each representing one century for a total of seven hundred years of Singapore's longer history. The poly-shapes are progressively refined into a circle, symbolising our transformation throughout time; adapting and evolving to become present-day Singapore. The logo expresses both change and continuity, conveying the sense that this is an ever-evolving journey for the better. For further information and clarification about the use of logos, please contact SBO Communications at Singapore_bicentennial@pmo.gov.sg for review and approval.
