SINGERS IN THE ROUND brings you the freshest take on a Nashville-style songwriters circle, but combines it as a livestream music showcase. Based in Detroit, MI, you'll see and hear the best up and coming Singer/Songwriters from not only Motown, but from all over. The songwriters in-the-round experience allows the songwriters to not just tell the stories behind their songs on stage, but interact with other songwriters on stage giving audiences a truly unique "up close and personal" feel with a heightened chance of spontaneous improvisation. The classic format of "a round" has four to five songwriters on stage. One performs a song, followed by the next writer, and the next, and so on for usually 4 rounds. Each songwriter can join in with the others, add harmonies, contribute a guitar riff and/or just listen. Writers talk about how and why they wrote the songs, and there are always lively stories and interaction between the writers.Your hosts KYSIA & YORG, both distinguished Detroit native songwriters, will showcase alongside other premier songwriters for a FREE show once a month being held at OTUS SUPPLY in Ferndale, MI.
