The company has been operating for more than 60 years in Taiwan, and has subsidiaries in Brasil, Australia, China, Thailand and Indonesia so far. Sinon (pronounced 'see-non') owns and operates a crop protection factory producing actives and formulated products. A plastics packaging factory so we can produce our own packaging and often have all steps of active, formulation and packaged product all in-house. After establishing the factory 60 years ago, the CEO realised that farmers also needed good service and advice on their products, so established a chain of 273 agricultural retail shops. Subsequently the difficulty farmers can have in marketing their produce was recognised so Sinon started a supermarket chain now comprising a processing centre and 44 supermarkets. Diversity and opportunity brought Sinon into the cement and construction business; and in the newest venture a biological production facility has been established to produce this valuable product type in the future as well.
