Operating in Cambodia since 1991, Sipar runs literacy and educational programs targeting underserved populations across all of Cambodia, in close partnership with the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport. Our mission is to foster a culture of reading and to create a literate Cambodian society - a key lever of social development.Since 1992, Sipar has implemented over 440 libraries and reading services nationwide, serving a total of 640,000 beneficiaries. A top publisher in Cambodia in children's and young adult literature, Sipar has published 220 titles in Khmer language, printed in 2,7 million copies. With 40 years of expertise, today, Sipar is a leading NGO providing technical and pedagogical support to national and provincial institutions, local authorities, communities and local NGOs in Cambodia.
