The overarching goal of SRO (Sistahs Reachin'​ Out) is to fortify pathways out of cyclical poverty, under-education and limited economic advancement for women. We do this through the Shirley Ann Award -- an annual prize that 1) funds the college dreams of non-traditional, female students and 2) provides micro grants to women-led, for-profit start-ups. Our target community is Detroit, Michigan.
