About usThe Sister Marathon Peace Initiative materialized through the support of marathoners and running enthusiasts, international race directors and volunteers who are determined to bring peace and goodwill to the world through the sport of running.It's about the journeys you take, the paths you navigate and the people you meet along the way. Our member community aims to build lasting friendships across cultures that serve to bring the world closer together.What we doThrough our international alliance of marathon partners, we provide members-only opportunities to explore the world through running events, destination retreats, and homestay exchanges across the globe.Our member-base consists of volunteers, fans and athletes of all levels who want to experience their passion for running with the excitement of exploring other countries and cultures.Our ServicesThe Sister Marathon Peace Initiative provides travel services for marathoners and our members.In conjunction with out marathon partners, we customize destination retreats and travel packages for our members across the globe. We provide flights, accommodations, race fees and transport to and from races on race day all in one neat bundle to save our runners and volunteers the hassle of booking everything independently.We also provide free homestay opportunities for runners in 100's of cities around the world. It's homestays for like-minded people!Currently we are showcasing the Bhutan International Marathon for February 28 - March 6, 2018. Join us on our once-in-a-lifetime running vacation. Everyone is welcome.Our MissionThe Sister Marathon Peace Initiative is a not-for-profit organization. Proceeds from sales are donated back into the communities where we run. When you accompany us on destination retreats or join us for marathons, members can choose a charity of their choice where they would like to donate, or they can donate alongside us to the charity we are supporting for a given event.
