Mental Health Care - Winston-Salem, North Carolina, United States
SISTER W.E.L.L.S. was co-founded by three sorority sisters whom are members of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. These women, Dr. Charla Blumell, Dr. Sherra' White, and Dr. Shawnte' Elbert. Additionally, Shawnte' and Sherra' are identical twin sisters. They have known each other since all attending East Carolina University. Over the years, they became close and begin to conduct many workshops together and saw the equal passion each other had in helping students, young professionals and adults acquire healthier leadership and wellness skills. In 2014, while sitting around the table, the three women were preparing to speak at a Minority Leadership conference the following day. Shawnte' stated, "We should do this together more often. Why don't we create our own business.". It was then that the seed was planted… The concept for the name of the business is twofold. One it signifies all of our education and passion we have for wellness and leading people to live their best lives. Secondly, it encompasses the biblical parable of the woman at the well (John 4)."Sister" W.E.L.L.S. is named for the time Jesus met a outcast and troubled woman at the well and helped her discover a new life. It is the premise that we encourage those in need to utilize our services and "dip into The W.E.L.L.," drawing out what they personally need in order to begin a new healthier life.Mission:To assist men and women of all races, ages and sexuality in developing healthy and holistic lifestyles by achieving harmony and balance in the areas of:• Emotional Health• Financial• Physical Health• Spiritual Health• Occupational Environmental• Social• Intellectual• CulturalWe aim to bring balance to the whole person by offering integrative services that address these areas.Vision:It is our desire to empower you in working towards your desired goals while experiencing a process that transforms you to a better authentic self.
