Official Newspaper for the UK Armed Forces in Germany.Mission:To act as a medium for the dissemination of news and information to the Service Community living in Germany and to generate funds which will be available for theoverall benefit of the community.Sixth Sense Background and Responsibilities• It is the Army's only newspaper in BFG, providing a comprehensive news service for soldiers and their families• Sixth Sense is an entirely self-funding newspaper. Once operating costs have been deducted, all surplus profits go to schemes to benefit the BFG community• The paper has been around for a lot longer than many people realise. It began life in Soest in 1970 and was originally called The Beaver, it was later named Sixth Sense after the now defunct 6th Armoured Division• For a weekly newspaper, our coverage area in BFG is huge - roughly the size of Wales, catering for a readership of 30,000 plus• The paper works closely with the Army to disseminate Command Information to the BFG community• Sixth Sense is run under the guidance of a steering committee chaired by COS, HQ UKSC(G)• As a Company, it also publishes a range of programmes and brochures for Army departments and units
