The S J van der Merwe School Trust (hereinafter "the Trust") is a Non-profit Organisation that was founded by former students of S J van der Merwe High School (hereinafter "the School") with a goal of assisting the School to reach its primary objectives, which are, inter alia, the promotion of quality education and producing future leaders. The School is based in Limpopo, Lebowakgomo and has been in existence for over 25 years. The School, in total, has a capacity for 1018 learners, and can accommodate 500 learners with regard to its boarding facility (this number is inclusive on an equal basis of both male and female learners). The curricula options offered by the School range from commercial, humanities and science to technical alternatives in terms of offerings and has managed to produce professionals in multi-disciplinary industries. The School is uniquely positioned to provide educational services to poor and those areas perceived as low to medium income households, marginalized and disadvantaged communities across Limpopo and neighbouring provinces. The Trust has a vision, mission and a set objective that it would like to fulfil through a collaborative leadership effort with government, non-profit organisations, private companies, alumni and the public in general.
