As Charles Eames notes, it's the connections between the details that give a product life. From grid systems to audioscapes, we've focused on those details all of our lives. Our combined years learning, teaching, and executing beautiful craft spans decades. It's the upfront consideration of the details in that craft that helps our work stand out from the rest. Research We have no qualms about broadcasting our graduate school roots. Because building a business in an academic setting reminds you how important it is to ask questions: about our clients, our end users, and the systems and tools at our disposal. When we can ask these questions—and take time to analyze the answers—we can produce the strongest experiences. Design Now that we've done our homework, spoken to the stakeholders, explored the possibilities, it's time to plan. That's where good design starts and ends: with planning. From deciding where our pixels go to choosing the notes of our score, we compile the facets of our end product and give them strong consideration until we're finally ready to make. Build If you've ever planted a garden or printed a screen, you understand the feeling that can only be achieved by getting one's hands dirty. A lot of our projects keep us pretty clean, but that's not to say we don't love digging in. It may be a 14 ft geodesic dome, a layered PSD, or an iPhone app. All along, we've made sure to produce to the highest of standards.
