Skroot Laboratory Inc. is an Iowa based start-up company that focuses on developing sensors for biotechnological applications. Our emphasis is on designing contact-free, continuous monitoring of cell cultures and bacterial fermentations. The developed sensors are capable of monitoring cell density and viability without the need for manual sampling or removing sample culture. This sensor system is also adapted to correlate sensor readings with your company's preferred cell count/sampling method. Skroot sensors are designed to be used with shake flask systems and bioreactors, including SUBs. The Skroot sensor system comprises of three key pieces: a sensor sticker, a reader, and a single-board computer. This simple three component system is offered in a variety of modalities to meet your cell monitoring needs.
