A full-service media production company, owned and operated by award-winning writer-director-producer Cheryl Slean. Skymind works with clients at any stage of a project-- from envisioning and writing, to fundraising and pre-production, through location or stage shoots to post-production, editing and multi-platform distribution. Cheryl has a science background (B.S. Physics) and software engineering experience (3D visual efx), an MFA in creative writing, training in education and 12 years teaching experience at the college level. She has extensive credits as a writer-director-producer and editor in film, video, multimedia, theater and publishing. Skymind's clients in the healthcare education field have included University of Washington Medicine, the World Health Organization, Talaria, Inc., Free and Clear, etc.-- educating in communication and treatment modalities in tobacco and substance addiction, pain control, patient safety and infection control, cultural disparities, patient-centered care and end-of-life care. Current projects include documentaries and webi-series on climate change, the sustainable business revolution, renewable energies and other topics in support of our nascent cultural shift to sustainability.
