Run by Joanne and Paddy Macken and their family, Slane Farm Hostel and Cottages are situated on a working drystock farm which is home to suckler cows, their calves and sheep.Slane Farms historic coach house and stables have been respectfully refurbished and converted into a luxury hostel and self-catering cottages which are 4-star approved and complete with all amenities. The atmosphere is one of simple comfort and easy going familiarity. Guests of the hostel have a choice of family rooms or dormitories, all en suite. The cottages are furnished to a very high standard with everything needed for families or couples.Just 2km from the village of Slane and next door to Slane Castle, the Hostel and Cottages are an ideal base from which to travel to Newgrange, Tara, Slane, Kells, Trim, Drogheda and Navan. The surrounding countryside is ideal for walking, fishing, horse riding, golf, tennis, pitch and putt, canoeing, horseracing and cycling.
